A flurry of activity, lots of giggles and happy talk this afternoonwhile getting Emmeline ready for her first dance. The 212 Squadron Air Force Cadet Gala marking 75 years of Air Force Cadets in this country.
A new dress and jacket and a borrowed handbag. She was beautiful. Firstly, because she was resting in her faith in her Lord and then, she was so happy to have a friend who invited her to go with her.
Charlotte was the make up artist. She brought out her best branded tools. We oohed and aahed in all the right places at the palettes of colour and the brands on show.
She was whisked away in her limousine at 5.30 last night. It was so nice to see her dressed up and with a little more make up than we usually allow or prefer. It was a special occasion and she handled herself so very well. This is my anxious child. She is learning to accept her anxiety and quietly wait for it to subside. She did and it did too.
During the happy melee that was last evening, Dad and Jed arrived home victorious.
Jedidiah placed 2nd in the State Soap Box Derby Races!
Yes, a well earned McDonalds Happy Meal AND McFlurry! High praise from Dad!
Low hands and posture together with a good push from older and stronger boys got him over the line!
